About the platform
What is Configure1st?
Configure1st is a 3D product configurator and CPQ (Configure-Price-Quote) platform that turns complex, customisable products into simple online buying experiences. Customers can build and visualise their product in real time, receive instant pricing, and request a qualified quote — directly from your website.
Who is Configure1st for?
Manufacturers and B2B companies selling technically complex, made-to-measure or highly configurable products — for example industrial buildings, HVAC systems, custom furniture, doors and windows, and engineered components. If your sales team spends time producing manual quotes, Configure1st is built for your use case.
What makes Configure1st different from other product configurators?
Three things: real-time 3D rendering directly in the browser with no plugin or install; technical validation and pricing built into the same experience so quotes are always feasible and accurate; and 20 years of focus on complex industrial and engineered products rather than consumer merch.
What industries do you serve?
We have live deployments in 10 countries across industries including steel and industrial buildings, HVAC, custom cabinetry and wardrobes, doors and windows, and worktops. The platform is industry-agnostic — if your product has rules, dimensions and options, it can be configured.
Technical
How does the 3D configurator work technically?
The configurator renders your product in real time using WebGL 2.0 directly in the user's browser. No plugin, no install, no download. It runs on desktop, tablet and mobile, and supports all modern browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge). Made-to-measure precision is 1 mm.
What integrations does Configure1st support?
SAP, REST API, webhooks, SSO via SAML and OAuth, and CRM connectors including Salesforce and HubSpot. The configurator can be embedded in any CMS including WordPress via a simple script or iframe. For custom integrations, the REST API and webhooks cover most scenarios.
Which browsers and devices are supported?
All modern browsers — Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge — on desktop, tablet and mobile. The configurator is responsive and touch-friendly. A WebGL 2.0 compatible browser is required, which covers effectively all devices shipped in the last 8+ years.
Can we embed the configurator in our existing website?
Yes. The configurator is embeddable in any CMS or custom site via a script tag or iframe. WordPress, Drupal, Shopify, Webflow and custom builds all work. You keep full control of your website, navigation and branding — the configurator is white-labelled and visually matches your site.
What 3D and data formats can be exported?
3D geometry can be exported as OBJ, DXF or IFC, which covers CAD, BIM and general 3D pipelines. Quote data can be delivered as PDF, CSV, Excel, or pushed to your ERP or CRM via the REST API. PDF quotes can also be emailed automatically to the customer and your sales team.
Implementation & support
How long does implementation take?
Implementation time depends on the complexity of your product rules and the integrations required. Simple deployments go live in weeks; deeper SAP or ERP integrations typically take a few months. We scope this precisely during the discovery phase so you have a clear timeline before any commitment.
Do we need to replace our existing ERP or CRM?
No. Configure1st is designed to sit in front of your existing systems, not replace them. We integrate with SAP, Salesforce, HubSpot and most ERPs via REST API or webhooks, so quote data flows into the systems your team already uses.
What kind of support is included?
All customers get ongoing technical support, platform updates and feature improvements. Larger deployments include a dedicated contact for configuration updates and integration questions. Support is handled directly by our team — no outsourced call centres.
Can non-technical users manage the configurator after launch?
Yes. The admin dashboard is designed for product and sales teams, not engineers. You can update prices, add options, manage product rules and review quotes without writing code. For structural changes to the 3D model or deeper rule logic, our team handles the update.
Security & data
Where is our data hosted?
The platform runs on Google Cloud with 99.9% uptime, global CDN delivery and auto-scaling infrastructure. EU data residency is available on request for customers with data-location requirements. Daily backups and encryption at rest are included by default.
Is Configure1st GDPR compliant?
Yes. All personal data is handled in line with GDPR. Data is encrypted in transit with TLS 1.3 and at rest. EU data residency is available for customers who require it. We provide the data processing agreement (DPA) and sub-processor list on request.
What is your uptime and backup policy?
We target 99.9% uptime, which is what we typically deliver on Google Cloud infrastructure. Daily backups are performed automatically. For enterprise customers, SLA terms including response times and credits can be negotiated as part of the contract.
Have you passed enterprise vendor security assessments?
Yes. We have passed enterprise vendor security assessments from Fortune 500 customers, which cover areas equivalent to ISO 27001 controls — including data handling, access control, incident response, and sub-processor management. Full documentation is available under NDA.
